Shani
Tate Ross
Shani Tate Ross, managing partner of Tate Gibson Communications,
has more than ten years of strategic communications, public relations,
marketing and community outreach expertise. Shani helps clients achieve
their business objectives, delivering measurable results.
Prior to launching Tate Gibson Communications in 2006, she specialized
in public relations strategy and public affairs work at a local agency
assisting a variety of high-profile nonprofit and municipal clients.
Shani Tate Ross is a registered lobbyist in the state of Missouri.
Previously, Shani developed community outreach strategies, managed
player relations and executed special events for the Kansas City Royals
Baseball Club. In addition, she established community outreach partnerships
for a variety of Royals corporate sponsors including Dodge, James
B. Nutter and Company, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
An avid volunteer, Shani strives to improve the lives of women and
children by serving on charitable boards, including The Children’s
Place, Reviving Baseball in the Inner City and the Women’s Intersport
Network (WIN for KC).
Recognized as an energetic and visionary leader, Shani was selected
to participate in Major League Baseball’s Executive Development
Program and is a 2003 graduate of Centurions, a two-year leadership
program sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
Shani earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University
of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in public administration
from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. |

Julie
Gibson Sally
Julie is a partner in Tate Gibson Communications, a Kansas
City based communications firm. With more than ten years of legislative
and public relations experience, Julie specializes in public affairs.
Through strategic and proactive communications, she helps clients
manage politically charged issues, crises and influencer relations.
Her issues management, crisis communications, media relations and
community outreach counsel have helped numerous clients achieve aggressive
business objectives in challenging environments.
Julie has counseled clients in various industries, including Applebee’s
International, Bayer Corporation, the Greater Kansas City Community
Foundation, the Metropolitan Kansas City Performing Arts Center and
the City of Kansas City, Mo.
Julie has managed legislative campaigns in Missouri and Kansas and
assisted a national veteran’s organization gain political exposure
at the 2000 Republican National Convention. In addition, she has led
the effort on a number of award-winning public affairs programs.
Julie began her career as a public policy coordinator for the Missouri
Association of REALTORSÒ. From there, she strengthened her
real estate and governmental experience as a lobbyist for the Metropolitan
Kansas City Board of REALTORS®. Communications agency experience
includes Fleishman-Hillard and Trozzolo Communications Group.
A graduate of the University of Missouri, Julie earned a bachelor’s
degree in political science with an emphasis in journalism. She is
a 2004 graduate of Centurions, a two-year leadership program sponsored
by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. She is on the board
of the Missouri Alliance for Historic Preservation and a volunteer
with The Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and the
Kansas City Free Health Clinic. |
